Product Description

Performance

The INOXPA DCH+ is a hygienic twin screw pump designed for applications requiring uniform, pulse-free flow and gentle handling of shear-sensitive products. The axial pumping principle ensures that product properties remain unchanged during transfer, making the pump suitable for demanding hygienic process environments.

The DCH+ pump offers excellent suction performance with low NPSH requirements and high suction lift capability. It can handle both low and high viscosity fluids and is also suitable for use as a CIP supply pump.

Depending on model and configuration, the DCH+ range delivers flow rates up to 214 m³/h with maximum differential pressures up to 25 bar.

Applications

The DCH+ pump is designed for hygienic processing duties within dairy, food and beverage, cosmetic and related process industries.

Typical applications include product transfer, circulation, unloading, CIP supply, and processes involving shear-sensitive or highly viscous products where stable flow is required.

Specific Fluids

The DCH+ pump is suitable for handling a wide range of fluids, including milk, cream, yoghurt, concentrates, sauces, syrups, chocolate, cosmetic creams, gels, emulsions and similar products.

Its ability to handle both low and high viscosity liquids makes it suitable for multi-duty installations where process and CIP pumping are required from a single unit.

Construction

The DCH+ pump features a hygienic twin screw design manufactured in accordance with EHEDG recommendations. All product wetted parts are produced from AISI 316L stainless steel, with EPDM gaskets as standard.

Internal surface finishes achieve Ra values of 0.8 microns or better, supporting effective cleaning and full drainability. The external finish is matt.

The pump is available in bare shaft construction and is designed for robust, quiet operation with minimal pulsation.

Sealing and Hygiene

The DCH+ pump is fitted with hygienic mechanical seals manufactured from silicon carbide for both the rotary and stationary components. The seal design supports effective cleaning and reliable operation in hygienic service.

Optional sealing arrangements include double mechanical seals, knife-edge single mechanical seals and alternative seal materials to suit demanding process conditions.

The pump supports CIP and SIP procedures within the specified temperature limits.

Drive and Motor Options

The DCH+ pump can be supplied with motor or gear motor arrangements featuring B3 legs, manufactured in compliance with IEC standards. Motors are rated to IP55 protection with F-class insulation and efficiency classes in line with EC regulations.

Configuration Options

The DCH+ pump is available with a wide range of options, including alternative mechanical seal materials, different gasket compounds, heating chambers and multiple hygienic connection standards such as DIN, Clamp, SMS and flanged connections.

The pump can be configured to suit a wide range of process conditions and installation requirements.

FAQ

What is the DCH+ twin screw pump used for
The DCH+ pump is used for hygienic transfer of shear-sensitive, low to high viscosity products in food, dairy, beverage and cosmetic processes, including CIP supply duties.

How does a twin screw pump differ from a lobe pump
Twin screw pumps provide continuous, axial flow with minimal pulsation and shear, making them particularly suitable for shear-sensitive products and applications requiring uniform flow.

Can the DCH+ pump be used for CIP supply
Yes. The DCH+ pump is capable of handling low viscosity fluids and can be used as a CIP supply pump in hygienic processing systems.

Is the DCH+ pump suitable for viscous products
Yes. The twin screw design allows the pump to handle both low and high viscosity products, including thick and shear-sensitive media.
