Product Description

Performance

The INOXPA DIN-FOOD Hygienic Centrifugal Pump is a high capacity centrifugal pump designed for applications requiring very high flow rates within hygienic process environments. With flow rates up to 1000 m³/h, it addresses process duties that exceed the capability of standard hygienic centrifugal pumps.

The pump is suitable for continuous transfer of low viscosity fluids where high throughput, cleanability and reliability are essential. Its hydraulic design delivers stable performance across demanding production processes, including filtration and ultra-filtration duties.

Applications

The DIN-FOOD pump is designed for use in hygienic processing environments across food, beverage, dairy and related industries.

Typical applications include brewing processes, dairy transfer, beverage production, ultra-filtration systems and high flow circulation duties. The pump is also used in selected chemical, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and textile processes where hygienic design and high flow capacity are required.

Specific Fluids

The DIN-FOOD pump is suitable for pumping low viscosity hygienic fluids such as water, cleaning solutions, milk, whey, beer, beverages, process liquids and similar media.

It is particularly suited to applications where large volumes must be transferred efficiently without compromising hygienic standards.

Operating Principle

The DIN-FOOD pump operates on a centrifugal principle. A rotating impeller mounted on the pump shaft imparts kinetic and pressure energy to the fluid, generating flow through the volute casing.

The pump is not reversible by simple rotation change. Correct direction of rotation is clockwise when viewed from the rear of the motor.

Construction

The pump casing features a volute manufactured from 8 mm cold-formed plate, providing mechanical strength and durability. All product wetted components are manufactured from AISI 316L stainless steel.

A double curvature impeller with rear blades is used to reduce axial thrust and improve hydraulic balance. The pump is fully drainable and designed in accordance with EHEDG hygienic standards.

Hygienic mechanical seals are fitted as standard, with aseptic flanges manufactured to DIN 11864-2.
