Product Description

Performance

The INOXPA PROLAC HCP Hygienic Centrifugal Pump is designed for applications requiring a high level of hygiene, gentle product handling and resistance to chemical agents. Its compact close-coupled design makes it particularly suitable as a main process pump in hygienic production environments.

The pump delivers reliable centrifugal performance for low viscosity fluids, supporting stable and efficient operation across dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic processes. Depending on size and configuration, the PROLAC HCP range offers flow rates up to 220 m³/h with differential heads up to 140 m.

Applications

The PROLAC HCP pump is intended for hygienic processing duties where cleanliness, reliability and ease of cleaning are essential.

Typical applications include product transfer, circulation and process duties in dairy processing, beverage production, pharmaceutical manufacturing and cosmetic processing.

Specific Fluids

The PROLAC HCP pump is suitable for handling low viscosity hygienic fluids such as milk, whey, beverages, process water, cleaning solutions and similar liquids.

Its gentle hydraulic design makes it appropriate for products that require careful handling without excessive shear.

Construction

The PROLAC HCP is a range of close-coupled hygienic centrifugal pumps manufactured with cold-formed stainless steel casings, impellers, pump covers and shafts. The pump components are connected to the motor shaft by mechanical compression, creating a compact and efficient assembly.

All product wetted parts are manufactured from AISI 316L stainless steel. Other stainless steel components are produced from AISI 304. Internal surface finishes achieve bright polish values of Ra 0.8 microns or better to support hygienic operation.

The pump is designed according to EHEDG recommendations and is fully compatible with CIP and SIP cleaning systems without the need for disassembly.

Sealing and Hygiene

The PROLAC HCP pump is supplied as standard with an internal balanced single mechanical seal of hygienic design. The stationary seal face is manufactured from carbon, with a silicon carbide rotary face and EPDM elastomers.

An optional double mechanical seal arrangement is available, using two identical seals. This allows easy upgrade from a single seal configuration and simplifies spare parts management.

Selected configurations of the PROLAC HCP pump are authorised to carry the 3-A symbol. Suitability for 3-A applications depends on the selected options and should be confirmed during specification.

Drive and Motor

The pump is fitted with a triphasic induction motor with B5 flange and B3 legs, manufactured in compliance with IEC standards. Motors offer IP55 protection, F-class insulation and efficiency classes in line with EC regulations.

Height adjustable hygienic legs and a stainless steel motor shroud are provided as standard.

Configuration Options

The PROLAC HCP pump can be configured with a range of options, including pump casings with drain ports or heating chambers, alternative mechanical seal materials, double mechanical seals, FPM or FFKM gaskets and multiple hygienic connection standards.

Additional options include alternative motor voltages and protections, trolleys, control panels and ATEX compliant versions for hazardous area installations.
